TRAVEL & PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
Do I need a passport to travel?
Yes — all players must have a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of the trip dates. This is an international requirement for entry into the Dominican Republic.
Will I need to fill out any immigration forms?
Yes — the Dominican Republic requires a simple online e-ticket immigration form to be completed within 24 hours before travel. We’ll send instructions and a reminder as the trip approaches.
FLIGHTS
Do I need to book my own flights?
Yes — flights are booked independently by each player or team, giving you the freedom to use miles, select your preferred carrier, and customize your travel times.
What airport should I fly into?
You’ll fly into Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) in the Dominican Republic. After your roster spot is confirmed, we’ll send recommended arrival/departure timing guidance.
What time should I plan to depart?
You may depart at any time on the final day of the trip. Most players choose a late morning or early afternoon flight.
GUESTS
Can I bring family or guests with me?
Yes — you may bring up to 2 adult guests sharing your room. Standard rooms (king or two queens) comfortably accommodate 2 adults or 2 adults + 2 children, depending on the category. Guests enjoy all-inclusive access to the resort — including pools, restaurants, beach, nightly entertainment, and may attend all DTI games as spectators. Additional guests may require a separate room booked at an additional cost, subject to resort availability.
PAYMENT & DEADLINES
When is the remaining balance due?
After you submit your deposit, you’ll immediately receive a confirmation email with your official balance due date and payment link.
REFUNDS & INSURANCE
Are payments refundable if I can no longer attend?
No — all payments are non-refundable. Because DTI secures resort accommodations, transportation, staffing and baseball operations in advance, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason once booked.
What if I get injured or become unable to travel?
The same policy applies — payments remain non-refundable. For this reason, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation + emergency medical + evacuation coverage.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes — travel medical + emergency evacuation insurance is required for all players and proof of coverage must be submitted after your deposit. Trip cancellation insurance is optional but strongly encouraged.
What kind of insurance do I need?
At minimum, your policy must include valid travel medical and emergency evacuation coverage for the Dominican Republic during the trip dates. Optional trip cancellation or “cancel for any reason” protection is recommended but not required.
Can I use my own insurance provider?
Yes — you may use any reputable travel insurance provider. Popular options include Allianz, Travelex, and battleface.
COMPETITION LEVEL
What level of competition should I expect?
You’ll face real Dominican pro-level talent, including pitchers throwing in the high 80s to high 90s. This is not a fantasy camp. The purpose is to step directly into the speed and intensity and feel a bucket-list rush most players never get the chance to experience.
ON-SITE EXPERIENCE & SUPPORT
Is the trip professionally managed on-site?
Yes — DTI coordinators will be on location throughout the experience to support logistics, communication, and local coordination. We operate with professional-level standards alongside trusted Dominican baseball partners.
Will I have free time during the trip?
Yes — afternoons and evenings after games are yours to enjoy, whether that’s off-site activities, relaxing at the resort or beach, or optional extras like golf, horseback riding, or scuba. Day 5 offers a full optional free day to explore or rest independently.
“DTI brings players the same caliber of talent I’ve spent decades signing into professional baseball. This is a level 99% will never experience in their lifetime.”
– Sal Agostinelli, MLB International Scout of the Year & one of Major League Baseball’s most trusted voices
